BYOL Easter Egg Hunt

My Thursday play date group in the neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt on nice Spring day. It was so much fun for all the kiddos, and we were so thankful to Sarah would organized and stuffed eggs!

Spring Break Part Three - The Beach

Since we were kicked out of the pool, we spent the rest of our days all day at the beach. We had to drive a few blocks to the beach, and then take a luxury golf cart ride...past very large alligators. So we had to plan ahead. We figured out that Charley would fall asleep in a stroller on a walk (thanks mom) and Molly just had to have her ni-ni. Once I even just rocked Charley to sleep, that was awesome. It gave me at least an hour of peace in the sun. Well, maybe 45 minutes, but it was great. :) Kids had a blast, and even though I kept re-applying sunscreen, they all managed to get burned in one spot of another. Even Molly got sunburned around one eye, so much so that it looked like a black eye but in red. Weird. Grant loved swimming. Matt rented a SUP one day and took it out on the gulf and into the mangroves. Heck, I even took a little spin on it. :) Love the beach. Can't wait for summer!

Spring Break Part Two - Getting the Hang of It

After a few days on Spring Break, we started to get the hang of it. Dinners out had to be in loud restaurants to muffle Charley's screaming and crying, the girls NEEDED naps, bedtime was going to be later than normal, goggles were an important daily need, and teeth will fall out. Just to name a few...

Grant after he lost another tooth. Good thing the tooth fairy knew where we were.

Charley and the goggles...oh the goggles. She's still carrying them around.

And then we had a vacation on our vacation. We were thankful to have had a sitter one night to go out without the chillins to a nice restaurant in Old Naples with my parents. Ahhhh, the peacefulness and good food!

Spring Break Part One - Airplane & Pool Drama

We went to Naples, Florida this Spring Break with my parents and enjoyed some beautiful and HOT weather. It was our first real vacation as a family. I'm so thankful that my parents could put up with my screaming children for a whole week. We had a rough flight with two girls that didn't get naps, sodas spilling in laps, a little boy that threw fits because they couldn't sit by the window, and one little one passing out from exhaustion after crying and crying. We survived...barely. We were THOSE people on the plane. So the beach and the warmth were so nice to enjoy once we got there. The kids had a great time, and we were so blessed to be able to enjoy this vacation. Here are some shots from the pool, before we were told we couldn't go in the pool anymore. Well, just Charley couldn't go in the pool, but we're a compete set. Apparantly, "diapered persons" (young or old) are not allowed in any pools in the county. Awesome. Good thing my kids don't mind swimming in the ocean.

Charley loved her swimmies

Molly did too!

My little fish. He has really improved from last year.
