34 Years...Wow

Matt turned 34!  Wow.  That seems old.  I know it's not really that old, but we're getting up there for sure.  He had to work all day in Detroit but made it home for his Lasagna birthday dinner and cupcakes.  To me, he hasn't changed a bit.  Funny how that is.  I've known him since he was 19 years old, and I think that's the face that I will always see when I look at him.  I love him so much and am so thankful that God blesses us with this man.

Bowling with the Eastlands

We took a Saturday afternoon in November to hang out at the bowling alley with my sister's family.  I am loving family outings more and more these days now that we are out of the baby stage.  It's so much easier to do these types of things when you don't have to worry about diapers and baby food.  The kids had a blast and so did we!

A Duck, A Frog, and A Cowboy...

We had a great day for Halloween this year!  No rain, wind or snow.  The kids had a blast with their cousins Sofia, Stella and Mark.  Mols was a duck, Charley was a frog, and Grantster was a cowboy (again).  :)

The kiddos before we headed out

Just my kiddos

Charley got the hang of it pretty quick

Trick or Treat!

Quack!

What a cute dog

The girls and I made it all the way around the block (since the older ones took off running)

Neighborhood friends

So many choices!

Actually got a picture of them before they took off!

Halloween Fun

Some pics of Halloween fun...my camera died and the family shot is on my point-and-shoot, which has gone missing.  Boo.  I love our yearly Halloween pic so I will have to increase my search efforts for it.

Diggin' out the guts

Ewwww Mom

Finished product.
Funny thing we noticed this year...Matt has made the same pumpkin face two or three times now just by chance...

School Harvest Festival...pin the nose on the pumpkin...you're right on Grant. :)

Charley's turn

And Mols

Good times

Pumpkin Patch Parable Pajama Party!  Sometimes God has to dig out our guts and cut holes in our hard outer skin to let His light shine through us for all to see.

Daddy

My kids have the best daddy in the world.  He is really an amazing father, and I'm so thankful that my kids get to spend so much time with him.  He works from home and recently was just promoted to Sales Manager for Acclarent of Johnson & Johnson.  We are so proud of his accomplishments as the one who provides for this family, but we are also so thankful that he is such a happy, crazy, silly, exciting, energetic and fun dad.  We are so blessed to have this man in all of our lives!

Y-M-C-A

We decided to take Grant out of Crew this year and go back to the YMCA.  We have tried AYSO before, but really like that the Y has great fields and referees.  Grant is playing with a team that he played with a couple of years ago and they are doing great.  So far they are undefeated.  Grant has scored at least once, sometimes twice, in every game...and one game he had a hat trick!!  Woot woot.  He seems to be enjoying it this year, which I'm so happy about, since I think the pressure and competition was a bit too much for him last year.

Mols is on a U6 team (yes she just turned 4).  She has a friend Lila down the street who is 5.  Molly only wanted to play soccer if she could play with Lila.  So I got clearance for her to be on the team, even though there is a U5 team she could have been on.  And yes, she doesn't do much out there...but she is out there and she is running around, and she is NOT crying (see dance lessons).  So to me its a success!  And she even had a goal in the first game.  :)  Great work guys!
