I think this is the only picture I have on Molly's Spring soccer season at the Y. She finally got a goal! They were having one of those games that everyone had gotten a goal...except Molly. The coach put her in front of the goal and told her to stay there. Then the whole team helped Molly get a goal. I wish I had a picture of her face when she scored. I think she knew she was supposed to be excited but not really sure what she had done. She is only four. I don't have high expectations...yet. This is her very good friend Lila. She lives on our street and they play awesome together. Lila is a year older but they will be in the same grade. (Note hand on hip...what?!)

Baseball Photo Shoot
Grant, at the very last minute, decided he wanted to TVBL again this year. He didn't play last year and we were fine with that, because so far, baseball hasn't been all that exciting for us to watch. So I didn't sign him up, and at the last minute, after registration had closed, he tells me he wants to do baseball. This was the first time he has asked to do a sport...so we signed him up. And he had a great time. It was actually quite enjoyable watching him. Matt practiced a lot with him in the backyard and he definitely got better throughout the season. He wanted me to take these pictures of him, so here's our mini photo shoot! (All the poses were his idea btw). :)

First Piano Recital
Grant started taking piano lessons in the Fall. We are so very proud of him for all the time he has put into practicing. He has come a long way. He doesn't always want to practice, but when he does, he really seems to enjoy it. I think he could do very well some day if he really wants to put the effort into it. I love that he loves music, and he has since he was a baby. I really enjoy helping him learn and play. I recorded him secretly one day playing and singing at the same time (which I love to do also). It was so very precious. I posted it to FB for one minute until he saw what I had done. He started to cry. He was so embarrassed and made me take it down. He said he didn't want anyone to see it...that it was just something he liked to do alone. So sweet. So maybe you'll have to see it some other time. He was playing and singing "It's a Small World". Keep it up buddy! I love listening to you play. Reminds me so much of my childhood. :)

Field Day
I loved Field Day growing up. It was so fun for me...mostly because I was a little speed demon...mostly because I was so tiny. Well, seems that Grant is following in those footsteps. The speedy part and the tiny part. Grant had a great time at his field day. Surprisingly he was very nervous that he wasn't going to do well. We really did not put any pressure on him, he does that all on his own. We just wanted him to have fun! But I would say its very hard to match his little legs with those other boys in his grade. He has to work twice as hard. He did great and finished with a Second Place in the Dash, First Place in the Sack Race, and Second Place in the 400M run around the field. I loved watching him!
Watching the other races (with fellow 2nd grader...born the same month)
My handsome boy
Getting ready for the Dash
He's off!
Really he looks more like me, but no one will ever say that. :)
Glad daddy could come too!
My sister and two of her kiddos, Ryan and Maggie
Sack Race (which he may or may not have started before they said GO!)
But it really didn't matter, because only tiny legs can run full speed in a sack!
Love him so much!
Grant and Ryan...best of friends...worst enemies. Just like brothers.

Preschool Graduation
Molly finished 4s preschool this May. I can't believe she is heading to kindergarten next fall. She is so excited. I'm so proud of the girl she grew into this year. She still has a shy personality but has become more outgoing each year. She had a great time and learned a lot this year. I'm looking forward to watching her grow academically and spiritually. She has such a caring and kind heart, and I love to see her smile!
Proud siblings
Yay Mols!

My Babies
Happy Mother's Day to me. These are my babies. I can't believe I have been a mom for 8 years now. Time is flying by. They have filled my life with such amazing joy. Each one is so special in their own way and I'm so thankful to God for their healthy little bodies growing up so big and strong. Thanks guys for letting me be your mom. I love you all so much. More than you will ever realize I'm sure. Thanks for the homemade cards and the breakfast in bed!
