We were so excited to have the Leonards up to my parents lake house this summer! We had a gorgeous first day with lots of sunshine and calm waters. It was absolutely perfect and the kids had a blast playing in the water and on the beach. The second day was super windy and we were being sand blasted, so that beach day was cut a bit short. Hanging with the Leonards is one of our favorite things to do. We are so thankful and blessed to have them in our lives. Our kids are growing up so fast, and I hope they can remember all of these fun times together!

Independence Day
We had another fabulous Fourth of July at the lake. Since fireworks are now legal to buy in Michigan, we had a nice show right off our own little beach...so much easier than hauling all 9 cousins downtown Whitehall...waiting for an hour for the fireworks to start...getting back to our car...fighting traffic back home. Although, I wasn't too thrilled with the sparklers...I mean fire sticks...that we had for the kids this year. They pretty much were just fire on the end of a stick...not so much sparkling. But it was so much fun being with fam! And nobody blew their fingers off (thank the Lord).
A little sparkle...
Mostly fire...
Fire sticks...so not safe. :)
The opening act up at the deck...the bigs ones off the beach were top notch!

Put On Your Dancing Shoes
Last year, Molly begged to do ballet. So we signed her up for a Twinkle Toes class. She was so excited. Come class time...she cried, screamed, wrapped her arms and legs around me, and refused to participate, until the very last class. It was loads of fun. Fast forward one year. Molly begged to do ballet class again. We had lots of "talks" about ballet before we took the plunge again. And we threw Charley and some friends in the class with her. Outcome=pure joy. They loved it! And they were so much fun to watch. I love it when sisters can do things together.
Could they get any cuter?
Look at those toes...I'm just saying...
My babies. I LOVE this picture.

Not sure what move this is...
