Crew

This year, Matt was asked to coach a U7 Crew Soccer Team. Crew is a travel soccer league in the Grand Rapids area. Although we only "travel" around the GR area, it's apparantly a premier soccer league. Anyways, we figured we'd have Grant on the team and try it out. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6:30pm and games on Saturdays. It has been a big time commitment for our 6 year old. I feel badly that twice a week he gets home from school, has a snack, and has to jet off to practice, which he usually does not want to do. So hopefully it will change soon. He seems to enjoy it once he gets there, but I understand that he wants to "play" more and "work" less. He's a little kid. So we have had three games so far; two in the rain. They won the first game 3-0 and lost the other two. The problem is that there are not many other U7 teams, so they play mostly U8 teams. We are interested to see how that goes. Yikes.
