One Year Check-Up

Here are Charley's stats at one Year! Growing nicely!

Height: 30 1/8 inches (80%)
Weight: 20 lbs 10 oz (45%)
Head: 45.3 cm (60%)

I have tall girls...got me.

Let me just say that this one is a stinker. She loves to do what you tell her not to. Hmmm....we'll see about that.

She has her first ear infection on her second round of antibiotics. Ick. I'm getting her eyes checked to see if she has what Grant has. I feel like one of her eyes is off and we may have to do the patching with her as well. We'll see, but I seem to notice it more in pictures. Did I mention she has six teeth, four on top, two on the bottom. So that's eyes, ears, and mouth for you...in case you were wondering. (Oh and I did cute the baby mullet!)

My Baby is 1!!

One Day Old

Happy Birthday to my beautiful baby girl Charlotte Grace. I honestly do not know where this year went. It just flew by, and I really can't believe that Charley is one. She is an amazing child filled with a lot of love and happiness. She is always willing to give you a huge smile! She walks all over the place and is starting to climb a lot too...including the stairs. Her favorite spot right now is to climb up onto the fireplace and sit there with her legs dangling off. She loves to hear music and bops her head to the beat and may even spin in a few circles for you. Peek a boo is always a favorite as well as giving kisses and waving bye bye. She says mama, baba, ball, dada, bubba, all gone, all da. She does not sign. I cannot get her to. She does not want to cooperate on that one. She eats most anything, unless its orange. She does not like peaches, mandarins, carrots, etc. She is still taking a bottle. What a bad mom I am. Funny how with the third, you just don't care if you are on track with that stuff. Perhaps its because I still want her to be my baby. She is growing up too fast. She is sporting a baby mullet right now...and I don't know if I'll cut it. It's going to be a while for the rest to grow in. She does not like to cuddle. Hates to be changed.

I love her smile. I love her laugh. I love her chubs. I'm so thankful for a healthy baby girl who is one today! Thank you God! (Too many cute pictures for me to choose from, so here you go...shout out to Rach for taking pics...again).

Mexico!

For Christmas this past year, my sweet husband surprised me with a trip to Mexico. We have been so looking forward to it since then, and really were excited to take our first tropical trip together. Neither one of us has ever been to Mexico so it was amazing for us. We stayed at a beautiful resort called Aventura Spa Palace and enjoyed spa treatments, all inclusive drinks and food, and gorgeous weather. It was great. We kept meaning to leave the resort but we just didn't. We met some great people, danced, saw a show every night, and did karaoke. We laid in the sun by the pool, we snorkeled in the lagoon, slept in, and played fun pool games. Since there wasn't a beach, they had a lot of things going on around the pool, and it was a blast. In fact, we WON the couples game, which included Matt and I answering questions, personal questions, in front of everyone, and trying to match them up...like the newlywed game. And at the end of the game, he poured out his heart to me in front of the whole pool, and I will never forget it. It brought tears to my eyes. Love him so much. Thank you babe for a wonderful time to reconnect and fall in love all over again. Let's do it again soon!!

Butterfly Time

Spring is here! At least for the moment, as I see snow is the forecast for this weekend. Before we left for Mexico, we decided a family day was is order. We always love seeing the butterflies at Meijer Gardens, and I love the pics I get from there.
