Spring Break Part One - Airplane & Pool Drama

We went to Naples, Florida this Spring Break with my parents and enjoyed some beautiful and HOT weather. It was our first real vacation as a family. I'm so thankful that my parents could put up with my screaming children for a whole week. We had a rough flight with two girls that didn't get naps, sodas spilling in laps, a little boy that threw fits because they couldn't sit by the window, and one little one passing out from exhaustion after crying and crying. We survived...barely. We were THOSE people on the plane. So the beach and the warmth were so nice to enjoy once we got there. The kids had a great time, and we were so blessed to be able to enjoy this vacation. Here are some shots from the pool, before we were told we couldn't go in the pool anymore. Well, just Charley couldn't go in the pool, but we're a compete set. Apparantly, "diapered persons" (young or old) are not allowed in any pools in the county. Awesome. Good thing my kids don't mind swimming in the ocean.

Charley loved her swimmies

Molly did too!

Two Cute!

Birth Day...March 20, 2009

First birthday

Second Birthday

Charley turned TWO! Can you believe it? I can't. Where did my baby go? I can't believe she is so grown up already. She is such an awesome little girl, full of life and spunk and so funny, but also a spitfire and always pushing the boundaries. Matt and I think that she will be quite an athlete and she still loves to kick and play ball. Sometimes she seems like a tomboy and sometimes she is a girly-girl wearing her tutu everywhere she goes. Her vocabulary has really grown in just the last few months. Check out the side bar for some of her funny word play. She loves to make us smile. She beats up on Molly and is kind of a brute. But mostly, she is getting along better with her sister and brother. She still loves her "nunny", her pink bunny, and is trying ever so hard to grow out that mullet. Love you so much Binks!

Date with Daddy

Matt took Molly on daddy-daughter date to Disney Princesses on Ice. Mols got all dressed up in her Snow White dress and off they went. Nothing but the best for Daddy's little princess as they sat in the very front row! I have to say that I was a bit jealous that I couldn't tag along. Molly loved it of course.

See how close they were!

All Skate

We've gotten all three kids on skis this year, and now we have gotten all three kiddos on skates. The school skating party is always a blast. Matt, being a "rollerblader" back in the day, and me loving taking my kids to the rink I used to go to when I was a kid...it was a hit. And of course Grant won the race...just like his mom and dad did when they were kids.

Oh Charley

I spend a good part of my day keeping track of Charley girl. She has a way of getting into things that the other two never did. She probably will be the one to find the poisonous chemical and drink it, or the one to climb a tree and break her arm, or the one to get inside the oven...at least a play kitchen oven. I went looking for her downstairs because it had been too quiet for too long. And this is what I found. Hysterical. I was cracking up. She was so quiet. Just waiting for me to look for her.

And if she isn't getting into something, she is getting out of something, like her crib. We woke up one Saturday morning with Charley staring us in the face. Uh...Ok. How did she do that? And that same afternoon, I found her brushing her teeth in the bathroom when I thought she was sleeping in her crib for nap. Thankfully after some firm words, she hasn't attempted her acrobats again.

If she's not her sneaky little self getting into trouble, she is definitely throwing a tantrum because she can't have another blue sucker. Seriously, a blue sucker? I never gave my other kids suckers at this age. Third kids. Whatcha gonna do with them...

I'm sure that's great for her teeth.

oh the drama
