Disney World - Magic Kingdom

The last two years at our school auction, we have bought/won Hopper Passes to Disney World.  Well since they were about to expire, we decided it was time to load up the kiddos and make the trek to the place where dreams come true.  Our first stop was Magic Kingdom.  And let me just say, that place is pretty magical.  I could have gone there and only there and my experience would have been complete.  I think the kids really enjoyed our very full day there.  We arrived at 8:30 and left about 10:30 at night.  It was a long day but totally worth it in the end.  I loved watching the kids eyes light up.  Our favorite part of the day was by far the princess lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table.  Very cool and totally worth the outrageous amount of money it cost to do that.  Charley took a catnap on Its a Small World and everyone was exhausted to say the least, but we will all have some great memories from this day.  Here are a million pictures to prove it.

Midway through the fireworks, we decided we'd better make a run for it to miss the crowd leaving.  About one minute into the ride home, this is what happened.

No More Babies in this House

Well, that's it.  No more babies in this house.  No more bottles, diapers, rattles, or cribs!  Where has the time gone?!  Charley will be three years old in about a month, and considering she was climbing in and out of her crib, we thought it was time to move her into a big girl bed.  (And also that the crib was more than eight years old, cracked, and has a drop side).  So one date night while Matt and I had some time to kill before our movie, we went and bought a bed.  This is SO unlike me.  I usually research and compare and think and wait and research some more.  Well, we went to the store...looked at two beds...decided on one...and bought it.  Yikes.  And I'll be completely honest, I don't really love it.  It's fine, but not great.  We have this dresser that we were trying to match...anyways, I digress.  It does have a cute little trundle for special sleepovers with big sister.  She has done okay with the transition but has been waking up every night for the past couple of weeks, but this could be because she doesn't really need a nap anymore, but I force her to take one.  And she does stay in her bed, but stands on the edge and yells out for me at the top of her lungs.  So big beds for everyone.  Crazy that I'm getting that old, but she'll always be my baby.

I signed the girls up for dance class.  They are soooo excited.  It doesn't start til May.  They have been wearing their outfits every single day.  Here's to hoping it goes better than last year when Molly screamed and cried and refused to go in the class to participate...until the very last class.  Its a class for 3 and 4 year olds so they will be in it together.  I love sisters.

{Un}Snowy Winter

This has been the strangest winter that I have experienced in my entire life.  The lack of snow has been astounding. Of course this was the year that we got everyone skis and purchased season ski passes.  I feel like we have only had two "big" snows so far.  This was one of them...

Skis

Everyone has skis this year from the ski swap!  Now all we need is snow.  This is the strangest winter that I have ever seen.  It's January 7 and there is no snow on the ground.  It's been in the high 40s this week...not that I'm complaining...but I am ready for snow.  The kids are a bit bored without skiing, ice skating, making snowmen, sledding and snowball fights.  Here's hoping.  :)
