Hassenrik Family Christmas

I was supposed to host the Hassenrik Christmas.  I was supposed to make lasagna.  I was supposed to...until Wednesday morning, I discovered head lice on Grant.  AHHHH!  I had been watching out for it, since 5 kids in his class had it before Christmas break.  But oh I was hoping he wouldn't get it.  You'll notice the newer shorter haircut in these photos.  We hired a service, yep there is a service out there, to come and check our entire family (all clear) and treat Grant to rid him of those awful pests.  So after we were pretty certain no one wanted to enter our house the next day, even though I had done 25 loads of laundry and cleaned and vacuumed the whole house, I had to cancel Hassenrik Christmas here at our house.  Boo.  THANKFULLY, Matt's mom was very generous and very flexible to have us over at their house instead.  And it was wonderful!  Thank you so much to all of them for allowing us to come still.  :)  Dinner was delish and we had fun (competitive fun) playing a new game and opening presents.  I'm so thankful for each and everyone of them, and we had a great time!

Merry Christmas 2011

Christmas morning was very fun this year.  We really enjoyed the kids and their excitement.  Big santa gift included bikes for everyone!  I convinced them that is what they all wanted because everyone needed one.  :)  It seemed a bit strange this year without any snow, but it was still a lot of fun watching their faces as they came downstairs and saw all the presents under the tree.  It was a great day to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
